Users of Erste Bank recently received emails with messages telling them to urgently update and restore access to their mobile banking app. It was a new attack by hackers who used the name of the bank to try to get its clients to reveal sensitive personal and financial information.

Filip Ejdus, Professor of Political Science at the University of Belgrade, raised a concern on X that someone has been sending emails on his behalf, soliciting assistance. Ejdus clarified that he had not sent these emails and urged recipients to mark them as spam and delete them.
